Management of Fluid Overload in Dialysis Patients

To provide up-to date knowledge and new insights into the complex problem of how to assess, monitor and maintain adequate fluid status in maintenance dialysis patients.
To review and discuss specific questions related to each of the specific dialysis modalities (hemodialysis, hemofiltration, peritoneal dialysis). The attention is focused on the optimisation of fluid removal by dialysis and the mechanisms of fluid transport in the body during dialysis.
To discuss briefly fluid management in pre-dialysis ESRD, acute kidney injury and heart failure patients.
